4. National Museum of Anthropology – This museum is one of the most extensive and comprehensive anthropological museums in the world. It is located in the scenic Chapultepec Park.
5. Central University City Campus – This incredible Mexican university campus is one of the most breath taking spots in the city. Tourists can marvel at the exquisite examples of 20th century architecture within the campus grounds.
6. Palacio Nacional – The national palace is the official residence of the president of Mexico. This extraordinary edifice is famous for its historical murals and other works of art by the famous artist Diego Rivera.
7. Museo del Templo Mayor – This is an old excavation site of an ancient Mexican temple that has been converted into a museum. It houses many interesting artefacts.
8. Palacio de Bellas Artes – This building is a well-known venue for art events and public performances.
9. Xochimilco – Xochilmilco was the site of an ancient water system used to transport goods in and out of the city. There is also a lovely garden in the area where tourists can walk around.
10. Torre Latino – One of Mexico City’s modern wonders, Torre Latino is also home to the world’s first “aquarium inside a skyscraper”. Guests are also treated to a marvellous view of the city from the tower’s viewing decks.
